Ford River Bridge Restoration Project Starts Monday

Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $1.2 million to restore two bridges on US-2/US-41 and M-35. Work on the US-2/US-41 bridge over the Ford River near Hyde in Delta County will begin on May 14 and be completed by the end of June.

Then, the contractor will move to the M-35 bridge over the Cedar River in Menominee County. The projects will include replacing pins and hangers, painting, and deck patching. All work will be completed by early October.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
One lane will be open in alternating directions with temporary traffic signals.

SAFETY BENEFITS:
These projects will help preserve the overall condition of the structures while improving safety and increasing ride quality on the bridges.
