UPPCO Appliance Disposal Days

UPPCO will be coming to the Ford River Township Hall to pick u old used electrical appliances In September. The Dates are September 21 2023, and September 22 2023. Times are10:00 am to 5:00 pm both days. This will be a good opportunity for anyone with old electrical appliances to get rid of them for free

This will does not include TVs, Computers, etc. They will pick up electrical appliances including refrigerators, window AC units, freezers, etc Be sure to bring a copy of your UPPCO bill with for proof that you are an UPPCO customer as this is for UPPCO customers only

Ford River Township is seeking bids for
an emergency backup generator to service our Township Hall and Fire Hall

Specifications For emergency backup generator

Will be a minimum of 22kw LP gas fueled generator with automatic maintenance cycling Including 2 automatic transfer switches
(one for fire hall and one for the township hall) Each building has 100 amp service
Price shall include all materials needed and installation

Ford River Township Public Hearing Notice April 5th

Notice to residents and property owners of Ford River Township. Please be advised there will be a public hearing of the Planning Commission on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023, at 7:00 PM at the Ford River Township Hall at 3845 K Rd Bark River MI 49807 for discussion with regards to a special use permit application in R2 districts in the township.  The special use permit application is for a short term rental for property ID# 009-302-005-00 located at E4686 State Highway M35.  Comments can be in person at the hearing, or by mail to Attn: Zoning Administrator 3845 K Rd Bark River MI 49807 or email zoning@fordriver.org. All written and email comments must be received 24 hours before the hearing by Charles Detiege, Ford River Township Zoning Administrator.
